The Senior Operations Manager is responsible for fostering and strengthening the ties between alumni and the UNM Anderson School of Management by developing, organizing, managing, and directing alumni programming for the Anderson School of Management and in partnership with the Office of Development and the Anderson Alumni Council. The successful candidate must be able to coordinate with other offices University-wide to promote student integration and alumni participation, establish efficient office systems and maintain well-organized filing and information/database system for the Development and Alumni Relations work needs. This position will set performance goals, conduct performance reviews, motivate team members, and create strategies in alignment with Career Services and Alumni Relations to boost productivity. |Conditions of Employment|
Bachelor's degree; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
· Experience with University/College alumni relations, communications, fundraising and volunteer management
· Strong written composition and editorial skills as demonstrated by cover letter
· Strong presentation and event planning skills
· An ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
· Proficient with a variety of computer applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, and Publisher
· Proficient in records maintenance and database management
· Bilingual in English/Spanish with a strong cross-cultural experience
