Position Summary | TheUNM Health Sciences Sponsored Projects Office (SPO) operates under thedirection of HSC Financial Services. We are a central administrationoffice that provides support to the Health Science Center. Our mission isto support research by providing guidance, administrations, and oversight forextramural sponsored projects. We interpret University policy, sponsorguidelines, and relevant federal and state laws, acting as the official liaisonbetween HSC departments and sponsoring agencies. SPO plays a crucial rolein facilitating research administration and compliance for the Health SciencesCenter. This is an intermediate staff level position in a sponsoredresearch office and will mostly focus in the area of data use agreements andunfunded agreements. This position will support one or more functional areasincluding, but not limited to: funding information; regulatory compliance;proposal review, approval and processing; award negotiation and acceptance(including contracts, subcontracts, material transfer agreements, and data useagreements); and award setup. This is a core function with universitywide scope. Minimum Qualifications | Bachelor's degree; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
