PLEASE NOTE: This position is for theUNM Gallup Branch, located in Gallup, NM, approximately 138 miles west ofAlbuquerque, NM.

UNM-Gallup is looking for a highly motivated and customer-oriented individualto join our team as Sports Equipment Attendant within our Physical EducationComplex. This position is part-time with evening hours required.

The Physical Education Complex provides sports andrecreation activities to members of the UNM-Gallup campus community throughscheduled P.E. courses, open recreation hours, intramurals and planned studentactivities. The facility includes an indoor basketball court, weight and cardiorooms, and two outdoor fitness trails with various stations throughout, andshowers and locker rooms for patrons.

Sports Equipment Attendant assist withdaily operations by performing the following duties:

• Providing excellent customer service
• Issuing sports and/or recreational equipment
• Maintaining inventory for new and used athletic supplies and equipment
• Performing preventive maintenance and minor repairs on equipment
• Assisting with routine operations and facility reservations
• Ensuring proper care in use of equipment
• Preparing facility for scheduled intramurals or other student activities
• Cleaning and maintaining work areas and equipment

American Red Cross First Aid, CPR & AEDCertification required within 30 days of employment.

• Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.

High school diploma or GED; at least 6 months of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior face-to-face customer service experience
• At least 6 months previous experience working at fitness/recreational facility or have knowledge of fitness and athletic equipment and sports specifications
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with team members
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task
