Position Summary

UNM Athletic Facilities seeks an Sports Facilities Events Coordinator to assist in the planning, development, coordination and management of event operations at UNM’s sports facilities.

Duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Coordinate maintenance of athletic facilities with contractors and Facilities Management

· Work with coaches on team needs

· Manage the following:

o Athletic camp paperwork

o Rental of athletic facilities meeting spaces.

o All events on the facilities side

o Setup and operations of social events

Conditions of Employment
  • This position is represented by a labor union and is subject to the terms and conditions of the USUNM Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations is required in this position.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Division 1 Athletic Experience (either as a player or employee)
  • Experience with coordinating sports facilities events held in a Division 1 setting/facility
  • Must be very organized and able to work a flex schedule including nights and weekends
