|Position Summary||The Anderson School of Management (ASM) is seeking an experienced, student-centered academic advisor to fill the Senior Academic Advisor position for Graduate Programs, which include the Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Accounting (MACCT), Master of Science in Information Systems and Assurance (MS-ISA) and Post-Master’s Certificate in Management (MGTCP).|
The Graduate Academic Advisor position at ASM is critical to operations of recruitment, admissions, advisement, and progress to graduation for graduate level students. This position directly impacts the quality of students that enroll in Anderson graduate programs as a result of efforts in strategic recruitment, streamlined admissions procedures, and high quality advisement practices. The success of this position results in expanded enrollment in Anderson graduate programs, and increased student satisfaction with advisement services that are tailored to the interests and needs of students that ultimately lead to engaged and high performing alumni of ASM and UNM.
The individual will provide a full-suite of academic advisement for Anderson graduate students and critically evaluate current advisement policies and procedures at ASM to optimize resources and opportunities for students to ensure an overall positive student experience. The candidate will develop and implement new program initiatives for comprehensive advisement opportunities that serve diverse student needs. This position will provide comprehensive evaluation of elevated student concerns related to probation, suspension, retention, and matriculation including follow-up with all individuals involved.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of producing high-quality results, successfully maintaining progress across multiple projects and deadlines, working efficiently with minimal supervision, and adapting to changing priorities. This person will be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing as evidenced by the applicant’s cover letter and resume. This dynamic individual will demonstrate excellence in customer service and the ability to work with teams as well as a variety of students, faculty, staff and members of the business community in order to promote student success and align with the vision and mission of ASM and UNM.

Bachelor's degree; at least 2 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
