Position Summary

TheOffice for Community Health at the University of New Mexico’s Health SciencesCenter is currently hiring a Program Manager to join a dynamic team of peerhealthcare workers, including Social Workers and Community Health Workers.

Under indirect supervision and in collaboration with programdirector, oversees fiscal, operational,administrative, and of the program(s). Works closelywith social workers, public health workers, other community health workers,professional students, and social services agencies to staff operations inorder to provide short term care coordination and connection to resources thatsupport program clients to improve their health and general well-being. This position will engage with at-riskpopulations with complex psycho-social histories using trauma informed and harmreduction practices. Assists Director in seeking and developing outside fundingsources and shares responsibility of the appropriate use of programmatic fundswithin the parameters of the contract(s)/grant(s), up to approximately $1.5million per fiscal year. Serves as point of representation and liaison withexternal constituencies on the local and state level on operational matters,and provides day-to-day technical/professional guidance and leadership asappropriate. This is a term position tied to the contract/grantfunding period. After June 30, 2025 the position will shift to focus more on Community Health Worker Led Programs in the Office for Community Health.

Conditions of Employment
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 7 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified; two of which are management level experience.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
