The College Enrichment & Outreach Programs (CEOP) is pleased to announce the opening of a Student Success Splst,Sr position that will direct and implement the goals and programmatic activities of the College Prep Programs (CPP).
College Prep Programs (CPP) is a collection of multiple programs and initiatives designed to promote P-20 student success and post-secondary education. CPP provides fundamental support to participants by increasing college awareness and college readiness through academics, career exploration, civic engagement, introducing college-life and leadership development for students from low-income and first-generation college-attending families.
During the summer, CPP hosts nearly 300 middle and high school students from across the nation who participate in various residential camps/programs with local, state and national partners. During the academic year, CPP hosts nearly 1,000 elementary, middle, and high school students through various campus visits and provides a curriculum and experience that introduces students to higher education.
The primary goal of CPP is to increase the rate at which participants complete secondary education and enroll in and graduate from institutions of post-secondary education.
· Responsible for implementing and executing all program objectives established in the program scope
· Recruit, hire, train, and supervise student staff
· Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, constituents, and funders
· Knowledge of applicable federal, state, local, university rules and regulations
· Collaborate and maintain ongoing relationships with other CEOP programs, target schools, and university/community stakeholders.
This position is multifaceted and affects many key performance initiatives the university promotes to ensure that students are successful. As a result, the ability and willingness to collaborate with other
|Conditions of Employment|
Bachelor's degree; at least 2 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
· Master's degree in Education or a related field
· NM State teaching license in secondary education in a specific area of expertise as appropriate.
· Experience working in a higher education setting
· Experience organizing large events/conferences
· Experience with the college admissions / scholarship processes
· Bi-lingual (Spanish/English)
