PLEASE NOTE: Thisposition is for the UNM Gallup Branch, located in Gallup, NM, approximately 138miles west of Albuquerque, NM.

The UNM-Gallup Facilities Management is seeking an experiencedSupervisor of Custodial Services. Under general direction, the CustodialSupervisor, supervises the daily activities of custodial services, includingpersonnel assignment, training and management, quality, assurance, andinventory control.
Work is performed using work orders andmaintaining records on inventory tracking system. The position may workon-call, overtime and weekends as required. The position requires physicalactivity and exposure to indoor and outdoor elements including hazardousmaterial, which require following basic safety precautions.

Conditions of Employment
  • Possession of a valid New Mexico driver's license is a requirement for this job.
  • Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
  • Successful candidate must submit to post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and medical history check.
  • Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous supervisory experience in custodial services with a university, college, public school setting, or private custodial cleaning firm.

Demonstratedknowledge, skills and/or ability in:

  • The use of custodial equipment, chemicals and supplies and/or services ordering and inventory control.
  • Planning/scheduling techniques and performing complex tasks and prioritizing multiple projects.
  • Communicating effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • The use of personal computers and related software applications.
  • Supervising and training assigned employees
