The UNM Student Union is seeking a qualified individual to lead our Custodial and Event set up team.
This position reports directly to the Facilities Manager and works closely with all areas within the building to ensure our quality standards are met for our clients. The Student Union is a large facility with over 2 million annually in foot traffic, requiring continuous monitoring and cleaning.
Under general direction, this position will supervise the daily activities of custodial services with a hands on approach, including personnel assignment, training and management, quality assurance, and inventory control. In addition, this position will be responsible for the Event set up team to prepare for events.
The qualified individual must be available to work a flexible schedule to include some evening hours.
|Conditions of Employment|
High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
The qualified individual will show the knowledge and ability in the following areas:
Supervisory experience which includes recommendations for hiring, performance evaluations, training and problem resolution and organizing workload allocation.
Customer Service skills
Annual budgeting and monitoring of expenditures
Knowledge of planning and scheduling techniques
Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include some evening hours.
