Position Summary

The College Enrichment & Outreach Programs (CEOP) is pleased to announce the opening of a Supv, Student Success. The primary focus of this position will be to oversee the day-to-day operations of the College Enrichment Program (CEP).

CEP serves as one of the oldest and largest student support services on UNM- Main Campus and its staff are passionate about helping students with their transition to higher education and attaining collegiate success. They do this be providing holistic support in the areas of Orientation, Transition, and Retention for students at The University of New Mexico. Though CEP is open to all students, emphasis is placed on assisting students who are low-income, first generation, at-risk, and/or from backgrounds that are underrepresented at the university.

The CEP Supv, Student Success is responsible for the management of program activities supervision of staff, record keeping and assessment, budgeting and overall administration. This position will work closely with CEOP administration to ensure program initiatives are aligned with university-wide goals and outcomes.

The CEP Supv, Student Success will also be expected to:

  • Coordinate and supervise daily operations within the major initiatives under CEP, ensuring all program goals are met and delivered.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between CEP, internal/external university stakeholders, community partners, and alumni; represents CEP on a local, regional, and/or national basis.
  • Plans and coordinates the development, implementation, and execution of initiatives designed to achieve the overall mission, goals, and objectives of the College Enrichment Program.
  • Supervise and lead staff and student employees.
  • Collect, compile, and analyze program activity data; develops, writes, edits, and presents comprehensive statistical and narrative program reports and evaluations.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

This position is multifaceted and impacts many key performance initiatives the university promotes to ensure that students are successful at UNM. As a result, the ability and willingness to collaborate with other departments, academic units, internal/external donors, and other university stakeholders is essential.

Conditions of Employment
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Higher Education or a related field
  • Experience working in a higher education setting
  • Experience organizing large events/conferences
  • Experience with Orientation, Transition, and Retention
