Position Summary

The University of New Mexico Information Technologies (IT) WorkStation Management (WSM) group is seeking a highly motivated, self-starter, flexible and resourceful Systems/Network Analyst 1. Under limited supervision, this position will be responsible for day to day operations of our Microsoft SCCM platform: to include maintenance, operating system deployment, product update pushes and general housekeeping of all our Microsoft platforms. Successful candidates will have exceptional communication skills, a thorough understanding of IT systems management best practices and a well developed sense of customer service for the values, practices and procedures found in an higher education environment.

SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES

  1. Provide network administrator functions (AD, LDAP, DNS, DHCP, SMB/AFP shares)
  2. Responsible for packaging creating and maintaining current Microsoft SCCM as well as JAMF environment
  3. Responsible for OU administration and management
  4. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with virtual/physical nodes with-in WSM.
  5. Assists other Systems Analysts on various projects and tasks.
  6. Documents system information and processes.
  7. Documents and writes technical instructions.
  8. Maintains currency of knowledge with respect to relevant technologies, equipment, and/or systems.
  9. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; at least 6 months of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Higher education and/or experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified may be interchangeable on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to applicants with:

  1. Bachelors degree in IT or related field.
  2. Experience in, and or certifications within Microsoft Active Directory 2003/2008.
  3. Administration with Microsoft SCCM
  4. Administration with JAMF/Mac
  5. Manage/assist Large Scale desktop deployment
