Technical Analyst 1

Position Summary

Performs and oversees a variety of IT and web design tasks in collaboration with CTL staff. Supports all CTL student-facing and non-student-facing hardware and software systems, to include upkeep and technical solutions. Analyzes and solves application and system problems. Maintains network server and manages permissions in Active Directory. Serves as the primary liaison between CTL and UNM Central IT, as well as a liaison to software vendors in collaboration with the CTL Senior Business Manager. Manages CTL hardware inventory including an annual budget for purchasing new equipment in accordance with UNM guidelines, and may oversee student employees in maintaining equipment. Serves as webmaster for the CTL websites, using a combination of direct programming and UNM's Web Content Management System (Cascade). Develops and implements training for CTL staff and student employees regarding website and technology use, guidelines, and troubleshooting.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; at least 6 months of progressively responsible experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Higher education and/or experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified may be interchangeable on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of and experience with UNM’s Web Content Management System (Cascade)

  • Experience with a variety of computer operating systems, including Mac OS, Windows, Linux

  • Experience maintaining large database systems, such as MySQL

  • Knowledge of a variety of computer programming languages and web development tools, including, HTML, CSS, Java Script, PHP, AJAX

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as on a collaborative team
