Position Summary

The University of New Mexico, College of University Libraries & Learning Sciences (CULLS) has an opening for a full time Technical Support Analyst 2 to join the Library Information Technology Department. We are responsible for supporting enterprise-wide mission-critical solutions associated with CULLS core teaching and learning mission. These include supporting of video conferencing, digital signage, and classroom/conference room related audio-visual technologies, SharePoint, and Workstation Management across all main campus libraries.

Under indirect supervision, this position will provide professional level support to the college faculty, staff, and students. The successful candidate will have a combination of strong communication, and organizational skills; excellent problem-solving skills; and solid end-user documentation skills. The selected candidate can resolve problems of moderate to advanced complexity and provide technical guidance to college users. Candidate must be comfortable using a variety of tools and techniques including phone, e-mail, knowledge-base and trouble ticketing applications. Good customer service skills a must as this position provides in-person help and training.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; at least 1 year of progressively responsible experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Higher education and/or experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified may be interchangeable on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting audiovisual components.
  2. Experience with Active Directory, file services, print services, & updates.
  3. Experience with general desktop support in a managed environment.
  4. Ability to support users and solve problems on desktop applications and web services across multiple platforms and devices.
  5. Experience with SharePoint.
  6. Experience with Mac OSX.
  7. Experience gathering requirements from stakeholders and working with external vendors on technical projects.
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  9. Familiarity with writing or creating technical documentation and presenting or communicating technical information to non-technical users.
