UNM Gallup (UNM-G) Campus anticipates hiring Adjunct Faculty to teach in theFall 2019 and/or Spring 2020 semesters in Health Careers within the Education,Health and Human Services (EHHS) Division to teach and/or develop LowerDivision Courses (100-200 Level).
Anticipated opening, potentially includes the following subjects:
Phlebotomy,Medical Terminology, Basic Body Structure & Function, Concepts of DiseaseTransmission, Pharmacology for Health Occupations, Nutrition, InterpersonalHealth Management, Standard First Aid, and other health related introductorycourses
PLEASE NOTE: This position is for the UNM-Gallup Branch, located in Gallup,NM, approximately 130 miles west of Albuquerque, NM.
UNM-Gallup is a two-year branch campus of the University of New Mexico locatedapproximately 130 miles west of Albuquerque. The University of New Mexicoestablished branch colleges to provide the highest quality of education forstudents pursuing post-secondary education at different locations throughoutthe state. Branch colleges respond specifically to the unique needs andmulticultural backgrounds of their respective communities by offering communityeducation programs, career and technical education including certificate andassociate degree programs, and transfer programs that prepare students forupper division entry into colleges and universities.
The Education, Health and Human Services Division at UNM Gallup Branch isseeking qualified temporary part-time faculty members to teach lower divisionclasses in various courses or topics as specified above. UNM-Gallup instructorsare responsible for all aspects of any class they are teaching including butnot limited to meeting with the class during assigned times, content delivery,assignment development, grading assignments, reporting of grades, andassessment of student learning as outlined by the department chair.
Positions are contingent upon need each semester as determined by studentenrollment levels, current course offering matrix, and demand driven bygraduation requirements. Positions may be filled or eliminated eachsemester up to the deadline for students to drop or add courses. Candidates who are selected for these positions will report to the EHHSDivision Chair.
Adjunct faculty in the EH&HS Division/UNM-Gare currently compensated on the basis of their credentials and credit hourcourse loads.

Bachelor’s degree in a health related field, or at least three (3) years of professional technical training work experience.
Master’s degree in a health related field.
