The University of New Mexico's Gallup Branch, Liberal Arts & Education Division,anticipates hiring adjunct faculty to teach face-to-face and/or online lowerdivision courses (1000-2000 level) during the Spring, Summer and Fall 2026 semestersin the following potential areas: Possible courses: - ARCH 1120 (Introduction toArchitecture) - ARCH 2151 (Design Thinking) - ARTH 1120 (Introduction to Art) - ARTH 2110 (History of Art I) - ARTH 2120 (History of Art II) - ARTS 1143 (Introduction to Art& Ecology) - ARTS 1220 (Art Practices I) - ARTS 1410 (Introduction toPhotography) - ARTS 1510 (Introduction toElectronic Arts) - ARTS 1610 (Drawing I) - ARTS 1840 (Sculpture I) - CCST 1125 (Chicana-o Latina-oMusical Cultures and Expressions) - DANC 1110 (Dance Appreciation) - DANC 1140 (Flamenco I) - DANC 1170 (Hip Hop I) - FDMA 2110 (Introduction to FilmStudies) - MUSC 2790 (Digital MusicProduction and Design I) - THEA 1110 (Introduction toTheatre) - THEA 1120 (Beginning Acting) UNM Gallup is a two-year branchcampus of the University of New Mexico located approximately 138 miles west ofAlbuquerque. The University of New Mexico established branch colleges toprovide the highest quality of education for students pursuing post-secondaryeducation at different locations throughout the state. Branch colleges respondspecifically to the unique needs and multicultural backgrounds of theirrespective communities by offering community education programs, career andtechnical education including certificate and associate degree programs, andtransfer programs that prepare students for upper division entry into collegesand universities. The Liberal Arts & Education Division at UNM Gallup Branch is seekingqualified temporary part-time faculty members to teach lower division classesin various courses or topics as specified above. UNM Gallup instructors areresponsible for all aspects of any class they are teaching including but notlimited to meeting face-to-face with the class during assigned times that mayinclude evenings or weekends, content delivery, assignment development, gradingassignments, reporting of grades, and assessment of student learning asoutlined by the division chair. Positions are contingent upon need each semester as determined by studentenrollment levels, current course offering matrix, and demand driven bygraduation requirements. Positions may be filled or eliminated eachsemester up to the deadline for students to drop or add courses. Candidates who are selected for these positions will report to thedivision chair. Wages: Adjunct Faculty are currently compensated on the basis of their credentials andcredit hour course loads. Salary range: $1,135.26 - $1,228.24 per credit hour.
