Position Summary | PLEASE NOTE: Thisposition is for the UNM-Gallup Branch, located in Gallup, NM, approximately 138miles west of Albuquerque, NM. The University of New Mexico’s Gallup Branch, Liberal Arts & EducationDivision, anticipates hiring adjunct faculty to teach face-to-face and/or online lower division courses (100/1000/2000Level) during the Spring, Summer, and Fall 2026 semesters in thefollowing potential areas: Possible courses: - AMST1110 (Intro to Environmental and Social Justice) -AMST 1140 (Intro to Critical Race and Indigenous Studies) -ANTH 1115 (Intro to Anthropology) -ANTH 1140 (Intro to Cultural Anthropology) -ANTH 2175 (World Archaeology) -ARCH 1210 (Intro to Environmental Planning) -CCST 1110 (Intro to Comparative Global Ethnic Studies) -FCST 2130 (Marriage and Family Relationships) -GEOG 1165 (People and Place) -GEOG 2170 (Energy, Environment, and Society) -LING 2210 (Introduction to the Study of Language and Linguistics) -LTAM 1110 (Intro to Latin American Studies) -PADM 2110 (Public Leadership for Social Change) -POLS 1120 (American National Government) -POLS 1140 (The Political World) -POLS 1150 (Navajo Government) -POLS 2110 (Comparative Politics) -POLS 2120 (International Relations) -PH 101 (Introduction to Population Health) -PH 102 (Global Health Challenges and Responses) -PSYC 1110 (Intro to Psychology) -SOCI 1110 (Intro to Sociology) -SUST 1134 (Intro to Sustainability Studies) -SOCI 2315 (The Dynamics of Prejudice) UNM Gallup is a two-year branch campus of the University of New Mexico locatedapproximately 138 miles west of Albuquerque. The University of New Mexicoestablished branch colleges to provide the highest quality of education forstudents pursuing post-secondary education at different locations throughoutthe state. Branch colleges respond specifically to the unique needs andmulticultural backgrounds of their respective communities by offering communityeducation programs, career and technical education including certificate andassociate degree programs, and transfer programs that prepare students for upperdivision entry into colleges and universities. The Liberal Arts &Education Division at UNM Gallup Branch is seeking qualified temporarypart-time faculty members to teach lower division classes in various courses ortopics as specified above. UNM Gallup instructors are responsible for allaspects of any class they are teaching including but not limited to meetingface-to-face with the class during assigned times that may include evenings orweekends, content delivery, assignment development, grading assignments,reporting of grades, and assessment of student learning as outlined by thedivision chair. Positions are contingent upon need each semester as determined by studentenrollment levels, current course offering matrix, and demand driven by graduationrequirements. Positions may be filled or eliminated each semester up tothe deadline for students to drop or add courses. Candidates who areselected for these positions will report to the division chair. Wages: Adjunct Faculty are currently compensated on the basis of their credentials andcredit hour course loads. Salary range: $1,135.26 - $1,228.24 per credit hour.
