| Position Summary | The Biology department at the University of New Mexico (UNM)anticipates hiring Adjunct Faculty to teach undergraduate and graduate levelcourses in the Summer 2026, Fall 2026, and Spring 2027 Semesters. Anticipated openings will be for Adjuncts who can teachcourses in a broad range of subject areas, including but not limited to thesubject areas covered in the following UNM courses: BIOL 419/519: SW Field Ecology BIOL 351: Microbiology BIOL 302C: Genetics BIOL 2225: Anatomy and Physiology II Please consult the UNM Catalog for descriptions of thesecourses. The Biology department is seeking qualified temporary parttime faculty members to teach undergraduate and/or graduate level classes invarious disciplines as specified above. Instructors are responsible for allaspects of any class they are teaching. Responsibilities will include but notbe limited to meeting with the class during assigned times, delivering thecourse curriculum, developing and grading assignments, reporting grades, andassessing student learning outcomes as outlined by the Chair of the departmentor Director of the program. Positions are contingent upon need each semester asdetermined by student enrollment levels, courses on the current courseschedule, and demand driven by graduation requirements. Positions may be filledor eliminated each semester up to the deadline for students to drop or addcourses. Candidates who are selected for these positions will report to theChair of the Biology department.
