UNM-Taos’ Information Technology Department invites applicants for Temporary Part time Faculty positions (Adjunct) to teach lower division courses. These positions will be hired on an as needed basis dependent on student enrollment, course offering matrix, and graduation requirements. Potential courses include the following lower division courses:
IT 101: Computer Fundamentals
IT 125: Microcomputer Operating Systems
IT 131: Introduction to Hardware Installation
IT 133: Computer and Security Fundamentals
IT 140: Help Desk IIT 141: Technical Support
IT 142: Introduction to Business Information Systems
IT 230: Computer NetworkingIT 231: Systems Administration
IT 166: Business Web Page Design
IT 193: Networking Core Concepts
IT 222: Database Management Systems
IT 250: Web Fundamentals
IT 260: Information Assurance and Security
IT 262: Scripting for Network DefenseIT 265: Forensics and Incident Response
IT: 271: Databases and Information Management

Minimum Qualifications to teach or develop courses in the field or subfield for which you are applying are determined by Higher Learning Commission’s accreditation requirements for faculty, and must be met by one of these ways:
1. BA/BS in the field and/or a combination of education, training and tested experience. Training and experience could include the following: 3-5 years professional experience in the field and/or certifications/credentials in the field of Information Technology.
1. Successful teaching experience in a post-secondary institution
2. Successful teaching in a community college environment
3. A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.
