|Position Summary||The UNMReligious Studies Program is hiring a part time instructor to teach one course eachduring the Fall semesters of 2020 and 2021. These courses will be on topicsrelevant to the study of Catholicism, with an approach grounded in the methodsof religious studies or related fields, including but not limited to history andliterature. |
TheReligious Studies Program is seeking a qualifiedpart time instructor to teach an upper level undergraduate course once peracademic year, during the Fall semester, for the next two years. The coursesoffered during this period will be on subjects related to Catholicism, andmight treat Catholicism in the United States or in other parts of the world. Thecourses must be grounded in the methods and approaches of religious studies orrelated fields. Instructors are responsible for all aspects of the course theyare teaching including but not limited to meeting with the class during assignedtimes, content delivery, assignment development, grading assignments, reportingof grades, and assessment of student learning as outlined by the program.
Positionsare contingent upon need each semester as determined by student enrollmentlevels and other factors. Positions may be filled or eliminated each semesterup to the deadline for students to drop or add courses. The candidates selectedfor this position will report to the Program Director, Dr. Kathleen Holscher.
Ph.D. in Religious Studies or related fields, including but not limited to history and English literature, completed by start date of the hire, with demonstrated expertise relevant to Catholicism.
