Fine Arts, Main Campus anticipates hiring Adjunct Faculty toteach in the Fall 2024 and/or Spring 2025 and/or Summer 2025 and/or Fall 2025 Semesters in the Departmentof Theatre and Dance to teach and/or develop Upper and Lower Division Coursesas needed.

Anticipated openings potentially include the followingsubjects:
Theatre Appreciation, Acting, Physical Theatre, Lighting forTheatre, Sound for Theatre
Dance Appreciation, Ballet, Modern, Flamenco, Hip Hop, Music for Dancers,Choreography, Kinesiology

The Department of Theatre and Dance within the College ofFine Arts, anticipates hiring Adjunct Faculty to teach in the Fall 2024 and/orSpring and summer and fall 2025 semesters.

Positions are contingent upon need each semester asdetermined by student enrollment levels, current course offering matrix, anddemand driven by graduation requirements. Positions may be filled or eliminated each semester up to the deadlinefor students to drop or add courses. Candidates who are selected for thesepositions will report to the Department Chair.

Wages
Adjunct Faculty in the College of Fine Arts are currently compensated onthe basis of their credentials and credit hour course loads.

BestConsideration Dates

July 1, 2024 for Fall 2024 semester
November 30, 2024 for Spring 2025 semester
April 10, 2025 for Summer 2025
July 1, 2025 for Fall 2025 semester.

Minimum Qualifications to teach or develop courses in the field or subfield for which you are applying are determined by Higher Learning Commission’s accreditation requirements for faculty, and must be met by one of these ways:

• Master’s degree in the discipline or subfield;
  or
• Successful completion of at least 18 graduate
  credit hours in an accredited program in the discipline or subfield; or
• Ability to demonstrate tested experience that the Department of Theatre and Dance has determined to be equivalent to a Master’s degree in the discipline or subfield.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Teaching/Accompanist experience in a post-secondary institution
• A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities
