Position Summary

The UNM-Valencia Campus is seeking candidates for temporary, part-time faculty to teach 100-200 level Nutrition courses. This will be a continuous recruitment starting in the fall 2019 semester. The posting will remain open and applicants will be selected as needed per semester.

Located about 30 miles south of Albuquerque in rural Valencia county, the University of New Mexico-Valencia Campus is a two-year branch campus of the University of New Mexico which functions as a community college in the region and is designated a Hispanic Serving Institution. With an emphasis on teaching excellence, Valencia Campus offers academic transfer programs, technical vocational programs, Adult Basic Education, and Dual Credit High School/College courses to Valencia and Socorro.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • MS in Nutrition or directly related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PhD, ABD, or EdD in Nutrition or directly related field
  • Experience and Certification to teach online
  • At least one year of successful teaching experience at the college level
  • A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities
