Position SummaryThe UNM-Valencia Campus is seeking candidates for temporary,part-time faculty to teach Welding courses in the fall 2025, spring2026, and summer 2026 semesters.

Located about 30 miles south of Albuquerque in ruralValencia county, the University of New Mexico-Valencia Campus is a two-yearbranch campus of the University of New Mexico which functions as a communitycollege in the region and is designated a Hispanic Serving Institution. With anemphasis on teaching excellence, Valencia Campus offers academic transferprograms, technical vocational programs, Adult Education, and Dual Credit HighSchool/College courses to Valencia and Socorro. The faculty and staff serve astudent body of over 2,000 students per semester. UNM has earned theplatinum-level distinction from FamilyFriendlyNM.org for its workplacepolicies.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or tested experience or credentialing) in Welding or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least one year of teaching experience.
  • A demonstrated commitment to diversity,equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diversecommunities.
