Position Summary | UNM-Valencia is accepting applications for the position of UnitAdministrator I for Academic Affairs. This position oversees the day-to-day operations of theAcademic Affairs Office. The position works closely with the Dean ofInstruction and oversees one non-exempt staff member and one student employee.This position is responsible for many critical aspects of the office,including: preparing faculty contracts, SACs, and overload documents;overseeing the formation of the course schedule for two semesters plus summerterm; inputting and monitoring the course schedule in the Banner studentinformation system; maintaining faculty files; assisting with new faculty on-boarding; updating the faculty syllabi website; overseeing the fiscalactivities of the office; training student employees; and overseeing dailyoperations of the office. Located about 30 miles south of Albuquerque in rural Valencia County, theUniversity of New Mexico-Valencia Campus is a two-year branch campus of theUniversity of New Mexico which functions as a community college in the regionand is designated a Hispanic Serving Institution. With an emphasis on teachingexcellence, Valencia Campus offers academic transfer programs, career andtechnical programs, Adult Basic Education, and Dual Credit High School/Collegecourses to Valencia and Socorro Counties. Minimum Qualifications | High school diploma or GED; at least 2 years of experience managing at least one of the following functional areas: fiscal services, administration and/or human resources AND 1 year of additional experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
