Position Summary

The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology within the Department of Internal Medicine is seeking a full time Unit Administrator I. This position oversees all day-to-day finance and human resource activities, manages and/or coordinates facility and resource management, information services, and general divisional administration. The Unit Administrator partners with the Chief of Gastroenterology and Hepatology in strategic and operational decision making as a member of the Division's leadership team and supervises and provides functional leadership to staff supporting the Division.

Applicants should have excellent communication skills, value customer service, be highly organized with the ability to multi-task. Excellent computer skills are essential and duties include but are not limited to: budget development, oversight of fellowship program, grant administration, faculty credentialing and inventory control. The Administrator will also be tasked with business operations and revenue optimization and related matters.

Conditions of Employment
  • If this position is assigned to the Athletics Department, either administratively or functionally, compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations is required.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 2 years of experience managing at least one of the following functional areas: fiscal services, administration and/or human resources AND 1 year of additional experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in Business administration or related field
  • Experience with budget preparation and projection, variance analysis and fiscal management
  • Experience in managing collaborative projects involving multiple entities
  • Experience in faculty and staff hiring & recruitment
  • Experience with Banner Finance or similar financial integrated systems
  • Experience in the supervision of employees
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office programs to include: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
