Position SummaryThe Division of General Internal Medicine, within the Department of Internal Medicine, is seeking to hire a Unit Administrator 2. GIM is a complex and diverse division within the Department of InternalMedicine. General Internal Medicine (GIM) also includes Geriatrics which is asection within the division. GIM has 31faculty working in 8 clinical sites and is actively recruiting 6 additional newfaculty members. The division alsoincludes 16 volunteer faculty members who practice around the state. The division is eager to address a variety ofnew initiatives, and expand both its education and research missions makingthis an challenging opportunity for an individual interested in taking aleadership role in the Department of Internal Medicine.

This position oversees all day-to-day finance and humanresource activities, manages and/or coordinates facility and resourcemanagement, information services, and general divisional administration. TheUnit Administrator partners with theChief of General Internal Medicine strategic and operational decision making asa member of the Division's leadership team and supervises and providesfunctional leadership to staff supporting the Division.

Applicants should have excellent communicationskills, value customer service, be highly organized with the ability tomulti-task. Excellent computer skillsare essential and duties include but are not limited to: budget development,oversight of, faculty credentialing and inventory control. The Administrator will also be tasked with overseeingfaculty recruitment and on-boarding and will serve as the Administrative lead for the Grand ChallengeSuccessful Aging and Primary Care Incentive program.

Conditions of Employment
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 2 years of experience managing at least one of the following functional areas: fiscal services, administration and/or human resources AND 2 years of additional experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelordegree in Business administration or related field
  • Experiencewith budget preparation and projection, variance analysis and fiscal management
  • Extensiveexperience with faculty and staff hiring & recruitment
  • Experiencewith Banner Finance or similar financial integrated systems.Expertise withMicrosoft Office programs to include: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Broadexperience in the supervision ofemployees - coaching, mentoring, delegation and performance management.
  • Experiencewith program development and the management and administrative oversight of new initiatives.
