Position Summary | The Division of Cardiology within the Department of Internal Medicine is seeking a full-time Unit Administrator 2. This position provides critical leadership in fiscal management, faculty affairs, fellowship program support, and operational oversight. The Unit Administrator partners with the Division Chief and Operations Manager in strategic and operational decision-making and is a key member of the Division’s leadership team. This role supervises staff, provides functional leadership to faculty and trainees, and ensures compliance with UNM, SOM, and accrediting body standards. The Division of Cardiology is one of the largest divisions within Internal Medicine, with 17 faculty members, 12 fellows, 4 Advanced Practice Providers, and multiple clinical and research programs. The Unit Administrator supports the Division’s missions in patient care, education, and research by ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and long-range planning. Key Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications | High school diploma or GED; at least 2 years of experience managing at least one of the following functional areas: fiscal services, administration and/or human resources AND 2 years of additional experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
