|Working Title||Unit Administrator 3|
|Position Summary||The Unit Administrator 3 managesall of the business operations for the Institute for Social Research, bothFinancial and Administrative. Project Accounting is critical, as he/sheis responsible for 60+ indices beginning with project inception to finalclose-outs. This includes entering submissions into Cayuse, initiatinggeneral ledgers for all projects, reconciling all indices monthly, following upand correcting all disparities, and providing special reporting wheneverappropriate. This position is both a UNMjobs Initiator and Approver, andis the main contact for all ISR hiring, reclassifications, in-rangeadjustments, and other H.R. problems/requirements/processes. PAYROLL: This position approves the Bi-Weekly payroll (is backup initiator) and entersExempt payroll sick/annual leaves monthy. He/she also processes salaryredistributions for Exempt employees housed within the Salary Clearing indexeach month. Other duties: Chart of Accounts, Salary Planner, BudgetPlanner, Categorization of Reserves, OEO issues, Mass Salary Updates,Out-Of-Guidelines Employee Requests, WorkFlow, Effort Certifications, P.I.Summer Research, FAMIS, Building Coordinator, Petty Cash, etc. The incumbentalso oversees/approves OGS Contracts, Chrome River transactions, Banner journalVouchers, LoboMart purchase requisitions, ePAFs, ePANs and Inventory. Shealso manages specialty projects such as building moves, buildingrenovations, etc.|
|Conditions of Employment|
High school diploma or GED; at least 2 years of experience managing at least one of the following functional areas: fiscal services, administration and/or human resources AND 3 years of additional experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
|Preferred Qualifications||This positionmanages all business operations, both Financial and Administrative, for theInstitute for Social Research. Thefollowing strengths are needed:|
--Previous Administrator/Manager experience
--Thorough knowledge and experience with all UNM financial processes
--Project Accounting management -- inception to closeout (reconcile approx. 50 indices monthly)
--H.R. (UNMjobs hiring, reclassifications, in-range adjustments, OOGERs, University Administrative Policies)
--Hitting Deadlines while balancing multiple projects
--Strong Organizational skills
--Excel experience at the Intermediate to Advanced level
--Possess at least an Associate’s Degree in related field
