Position Summary

The Division of Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Preventive Medicine, within the Department of Internal Medicine, is seeking a Unit Administrator 3 to be the division administrative lead, who will oversee the daily operations, to include:

  • Faculty contracts
  • Dual appointments/Volunteer Faculty appointments
  • Post-doc, faculty and staff recruitment and hiring
  • Maintain staff personnel files and guide in the supervision of administrative staff
  • Monitor finance files and track restricted and unrestricted funds with Accounting
  • Maintain databases to ensure proper labor allocations for all faculty and staff
  • Develop, prepare, analyze and review budgets as required for various funding agencies
  • Track and maintain records of faculty teaching
  • Supervise other administrative staff

Conditions of Employment
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 2 years of experience managing at least one of the following functional areas: fiscal services, administration and/or human resources AND 3 years of additional experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

  • Develops annual operating budgets
  • Track and manage financial systems
  • Run labor distribution reports
  • Organizational skills and multitasking
  • Allocate money between accounts accordingly
  • Management of faculty and staff hiring, promotion and contract drafting
