Position Summary | TheDivision of Translational Informatics, within the Department of InternalMedicine, is seeking a motivated, well-organized, detail-oriented, andexperienced Unit Administrator 3, who will oversee and improve administrative operationsfor the Division. The Translational Informatics Division uses computational anddata sciences approaches to accelerate translational research in the areas ofclinical research informatics, drug discovery, bioinformatics, and systemsthinking for organizational improvement. Success in the position will bemeasured by providing prompt, high-quality administrative support (including delegatingwork to student assistants) that minimizes administrative duties for facultyand research staff. Responsibilities include: - Prepare budgets and supporting materials for extramural fundingapplications - Perform human resources functions - Manage faculty, postdoc, staff, and student hiring and contracts · Maintain recordkeeping systems and procedures · Monitor and reconcile finances, tracking and forecastingrestricted and unrestricted fund expenditures · Maintain proper labor allocations for all faculty andstaff · Track and maintain records of faculty activities · Train and supervise otheradministrative staff, including student office assistants - Develop and maintain up-to-datestandard operating procedures for administrative functions - Performs other miscellaneousjob-related activities as assigned. |

Minimum Qualifications | High school diploma or GED; at least 2 years of experience managing at least one of the following functional areas: fiscal services, administration and/or human resources AND 3 years of additional experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
