University Facilities Engineer

UNMFacilities Management (FM) Engineering & Energy Services is acceptingapplications for a University Facilities Engineer. The qualified candidate willbe under limited supervision, providing a full range of advanced professionalengineering services within a broadly defined engineering discipline such asmechanical, electrical, structural/civil utilities, and/or environmentalengineering, in support of campus-wide physical plant construction/repair andfacilities planning programs. He/she will perform and/or oversee integratedengineering planning, design, and development, and will provide strategicprofessional leadership, guidance, technical coordination, and review toengineering consultants and support staff on a project basis, as appropriate tothe discipline.
Facilities Management is responsible forthe care and upkeep of the physical campus environment. Additionally, thedepartment maintains the University’s district energy system providingelectricity, steam, chilled water and domestic water through its owndistribution systems.

|Conditions of Employment|
Bachelor's degree in a directly related Engineering field; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
