Position Summary

The UNM Early Childhood Services Center (ECSC), Database Services team is seeking a Web Designer to support the UNM ECSC with all website needs.

Duties and responsibilities of the Web Designer will include the following:

  • Developing and maintaining plan for UNM ECSC's web presence, based on management priorities, policy directions, and goals.
  • Creating enhancements and modifications to web-sites; organizing and maintaining of these websites.
  • Assessing new standards, technologies and trends, and formulating strategies and plans for future enhancements of websites.
  • Programming HTML and uploading pages to websites.

?The selected candidate must have strong communication and networking skills, and must meet contract deliverables. Computer skills are essential with documented skills in Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, along with Laravel, WordPress and other web-based applications. This position participates in high-level meetings which may include planning, writing, project planning, and writing of professional reports.

This is a term Appointment: Funding available through 6/30/2019; continuance beyond that date is subject to department's operational needs as outlined in UBPPM #3200.

Conditions of Employment
Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Documented skills in Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, along with Laravel, WordPress and other web-based applications.
